Parenting Plans and Visitation

Creating a parenting and visitation schedule can be tough. But giving some thought to your schedule and your child’s schedule, and “putting yourself in your child’s shoes”, will give you a fresh perspective and ideas that you can try out. Depending upon your child’s age, you may even consider involving them in the conversation and the decision about your time with him/her.

It’s a difficult transition for everyone in the family. It can be challenging to go from seeing your child every day at home, to seeing your child on certain days and times and creating a new home and a new space for them, and for yourself.

However, this time can also be a time for self reflection, for new beginnings and new opportunities. You may find yourself having more time than you had before to do some of the things that you may have wanted to do that you could not do before your split.
